BORN ONLINE. BUILT FOR THE BIG SCREEN.
BORN ONLINE. BUILT FOR THE BIG SCREEN.
We grew up online, where a story has seconds to earn attention. We bring that instinct to every production, combining the pace of digital content with the care and craft of filmmaking. From a social cutdown to the big screen, the story comes first.

THE ACE MEDIA APPROACH
PERSONALLY LED. BUILT TO ADAPT.
PERSONALLY LED. BUILT TO ADAPT.
Ace Media is built around Rory’s belief that the best work comes from understanding the brief, caring about the detail and being good to work with. The starting point is always the same: who are we speaking to, what do they need to understand, and what should the film help them do?

Rory brings creative thinking and practical production experience to the same conversation. He stays involved as the project develops, with the right specialists leading each part of the work.

That means honest advice, a calm presence on set and a willingness to adapt when the brief changes. The aim is work with purpose and personality, made through a process that clients feel part of.

RORY PUDDLE.
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
I’ve been making videos since I got my hands on my dad’s 8mm camcorder. In 2006, I caught a making-of film about Sony’s BRAVIA bouncy-ball ad and loved the ingenuity of it. Real stunt work, slow motion and a simple idea, pulled off brilliantly. It got me thinking about all the unexpected ways you could bring a product to life.
I’d watch the making-of extras on The Matrix DVD too, fascinated by how they pulled those shots off. I still love figuring out how to create something a little different, particularly with timelapses and hyperlapses.
Over 13 years in production have taken me across technology, healthcare, finance and sport. Through Ace Media, I bring together trusted people with the right skills for each brief, staying involved from the first conversation to the finished film.
Off camera, I’m usually attempting to play guitar, out on my motorbike, watching too many car videos on YouTube or tweaking an edit for the 47th time.
Always up for a chat about your next project, the latest supercar or the last gig you went to.

RANDOM SKILL: Can fly a drone and parallel park like a pro (but not at the same time).

A lean camera crew or a full production team. We bring together the right skills for your brief, with the flexibility to scale and a shared commitment to the finished work.

THE CREW
THE CREW
A trusted roster. The right mix for your brief.
Our roster brings together camera operators, sound recordists, lighting crew, drone operators, editors and motion designers. A lean crew can move quickly; a larger production can draw on deeper specialist support. The team is matched to the brief, with clear responsibilities and consistent care throughout.
FILMMAKERS
Camera operators and cinematographers who know how to get the shot and put people at ease. They plan framing, movement and coverage around the story, whether we’re filming one interview or a busy event.
SOUND RECORDISTS
Clear dialogue starts on the shoot. Our sound specialists choose and monitor the microphones, listen for problems and capture the detail an edit needs. Sound editors then balance the voices, music and atmosphere.
LIGHTING CREW
Lighting that suits the people, product and location. From a small interview setup to a larger studio shoot, the crew shape the look and handle the practical work behind it.
EDITORS & ANIMATORS
Editors, colourists and motion designers bring the footage together. They find the strongest moments, sharpen the story and create the versions you need, with clear review stages along the way.
PRODUCERS
The people keeping the plan moving. Producers organise the crew, locations and schedule, keep you informed and deal with the details so the shoot can run smoothly.
DRONE OPERATORS
Aerial filming planned around the location and the shots that matter. Drone operators assess the site, check the permissions needed and work with the wider crew to capture a useful new perspective.
CREATIVE & SCRIPT
A clear idea before the cameras come out. Creative producers and writers help turn your brief into a concept, script and shot plan, with the audience and the finished film in mind.

HOW WE WORK
HOW WE WORK
UNDERSTAND THE BRIEF. We discuss your audience, objectives, budget and where the content will be seen. Together, we turn the initial idea into a clear direction and agree what the finished work needs to achieve.

BUILD THE RIGHT TEAM. We match the creative approach, crew, equipment and production plan to the brief. From a discreet interview setup to a multi-camera event or a studio shoot, the resources follow the work.

KEEP THE SHOOT HUMAN. Good preparation makes room for better moments. We plan the schedule and logistics, help contributors feel comfortable and stay flexible on location, with clear communication as the day unfolds.
